1. Cancel Premium first (if you have it). Deleting your account doesn’t cancel your subscription: Apple keeps billing you until you cancel. On your iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → PaperSays Premium → Cancel Subscription.
2. Delete in the app (fastest). Open PaperSays → Profile → Delete account → confirm. It happens at once.
3. Without the app. Email support@papersays.com from the email address of your account, subject “Delete my account”. We confirm by email and delete it within 30 days (VERIFY the period with legal). If you signed in with Apple using “Hide My Email”, write from that relay address or tell us the date you joined.
What is deleted: your account, profile, preferences, followed hubs, saved episodes, listening progress, questions and answers, notes, learning progress, support messages and feedback. For Sign in with Apple accounts we also revoke the app’s access to your Apple ID.
What we keep, without your account:
- Subscription and purchase records (product, dates, status, Apple transaction IDs) for accounting and tax, for {N} years (VERIFY), with your account ID and personal fields removed.
- Reports you made about a quiz question, and AI usage records (cost and timing, no text), not linked to you.
- Anonymous usage totals that can’t be linked back to you.
